Do these negative thoughts hold you back from making change?

  • I never stick at anything, I’m just a failure
  • It’s too hard, I can’t do it
  • Why bother, you’re just going to fail
  • I’m just not motivated on my own
  • I know what to do, but can’t get started
  • I don’t care anymore
  • There’s just too much confusing information
  • I will one day…
  • I wish I could do it but I don’t believe in myself

These phrases are merely limiting beliefs!

Negative thoughts only ADD to your worries and increase your mental, emotional and physical stress.

Are you not eating breakfast or dinner, over-eating, under-eating, emotional eating, giving in to your desperate cravings only to feel worse about yourself and your weight before resorting to something drastic?

Do you sit on the couch, watch countless hours of TV, think you should: go for a walk, do some work, finish your study or get the washing off the line, but somehow can’t even manage that?

Can you sleep?
Do you have daily energy?
Do you feel awful about the way you are but don’t believe you can REALLY change?

If you’re like many people who begin a new diet, you might temporarily alter what you’re eating without changing your eating habits or addressing your values and beliefs, to only stop dieting and return to those same eating habits that caused you to gain the excess weight in the first place!

Starvation slows your metabolism, so after you stop dieting and resume your old eating habits you are highly likely to gain back even more weight as a result.

Being on any highly restrictive diet is merely a form of ‘controlled starvation’. Physically and hormonally, ‘Deprivation’ & ‘ Starvation’ only tell your body to STORE fat – NOT lose it! True nutrition comes from a variety of delicious, natural and colourful foods. There is no deprivation or starvation involved.

shutterstock_15484855Starvation often results in feelings of fatigue, sluggishness and hunger – who could stay motivated to sustain that lifestyle over the long-term?

Your health is everything. When you wake up feeling tired, heavy and worried about your weight, every thought, feeling and food choice for the rest of the day is affected by your mood, which may be the cause of increasing stress and struggle with your body.

The keys to creating new eating habits and an overall healthier lifestyle are already in your possession. You simply need to make a few adjustments that will create the changes you are looking for.

The most important areas to focus on are:

  1. MIND = The beliefs and values behind your thoughts, behaviour and emotions
  2. BODY = How you love and accept your body now and increase your energy expenditure
  3. FOOD = What nutrients you consume and how often to balance your hormones and eating
  4. SUPPORT = Encouragement, Motivation, Guidance and Accountability

You see, it’s not just about food and exercise. It’s also about your mind and the thoughts going on inside your head that are either supporting you or sabotaging you.

How many times do you remember thinking how fat, ugly, stupid, useless, worthless and undeserving you are? Do you consciously think those kinds of self-beliefs are actually supporting you?

It’s NOT about being angry at yourself. It’s about understanding how your body works and creating a balance that’s right for YOU.
