Who's In Your Head? How to Change Negative Self-Talk

Who’s In Your Head? How Negative Beliefs Are Formed

Whether you’ve had a tough, stressed out week or you’ve been feeling more positive and keeping on top of your to-do list, it’s always beneficial to ensure the weekend is a sacred time of self-love and care – a time of tuning in and reconnecting to yourself, your family and your own personal interests.

I’ve learnt how important it is to have our own positive daily rituals and activities that keep us connected to our purpose, peace and passion in life.

I spent way too long always putting others’ needs before my own, only to feel overwhelmed and resentful at never seeming to find time for ME!

Negative feelings create negative energy and self-talk, and places strain on the mind, body and spirit.

Which is why it’s SO IMPORTANT to spend regular time reclaiming your energy, personal power and mindset before your negative thinking mind gets the best of you!

I LOVE meditation in helping to achieve this!

I’m always reading the latest neuroscience research and studies to expand my knowledge on how the brain and the mind work in creating our thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviours.

We’re our own worst enemies in allowing our negative self-talk to dictate our days.

A classic example is my 18 years of listening to my eating disorder voice telling me how worthless and unlovable I was, until I finally realised it was only the fear in my head talking – it wasn’t my true, healthy loving self talking to me at all!

Our mindset and beliefs show up every single day, especially first thing in the morning, shaping our mood and energy….

How do YOU start your day?

tired, rushed, undernourished, coffee-driven, negative…

How would you LIKE to start your day?

slow deep breaths, gratitude, stretching, tasty breakfast, positive…

Many new clients come to me with the simple desire to be happy, yet their thinking and beliefs keep sabotaging their efforts and they get stuck in the same old repetitive cycles of feelings and behaviour.

I filmed this short video for you all to help you understand how our negative thinking and beliefs are created and how they create self-sabotaging behaviours, stopping us from reaching our goals.
