Who’s in Control? You or Food?

QUESTION for you:

Why are you so afraid to let go of controlling your food?

Is the answer something like, “Because I’ll put on weight!”

So you’re afraid of putting on weight and that’s why you control your food so rigidly?

Ok.

So what if you do put on some weight?

Will it kill you? Will you suddenly become unlovable? Will your family and co-workers disown you?

No!

Maybe your body might put on a little weight in an attempt to trust you enough to nourish it regularly before it can regain a sense of balance.

When you diet, you really screw it over you know. That’s not forgotten so easily, nor the damage undone so quickly.

What If You Let Go….?

When you let go of trying so damn hard to stay in control all of the time, you can actually feel MORE in control because you’re learning to ALLOW.

To allow yourself to choose without rules, to taste pleasure without denial, to have what you want without restriction, to savour the moment without guilt….

If you could just let go enough to taste freedom with food and eating, you will feel more in control and won’t be consumed with so much fear about putting on weight, so you’re fat-storing stress hormone Cortisol won’t be messing up your hunger and satiety hormones to stuff everything up!

Dieting, deprivation and starvation is what triggers the body to send alarm bells and start storing fat when you’re not getting enough nutrients – good or bad.

Oh the irony…..

I just want to stop you lovely individuals from creating the very thing that you’re afraid of!

Please stop dieting and punishing yourself for being YOU.

Please.
