What’s on your mind?

Have you paid much attention to your self-talk lately? When you challenge your internal dialogue you challenge your beliefs.

  • Is what you believe your choice?
  • Why do you believe that to be true?
  • Is it a belief that is relevant and true for you now according to what you value in your life?

So often in our childhood we adopt the beliefs of those around us. We learn to behave in certain ways: to get what we want, please others, or stay away from conflict. As we grow, those beliefs take hold and influence the way we think, behave, react and perceive ourselves.

When a belief is not truly your own by design, it may be limiting your growth and potential.

  • A belief either reinforces your values or it disrespects and contradicts them.
  • A belief can either help you to remain true to your own path in life or it can constantly hinder and derail you from your journey.

Pay attention to your thoughts and when you hear negative, limiting or unhelpful self-talk, challenge it.

  • What is the belief behind it?
  • Is that true and relevant to you now?
  • If not, what DO you believe?

When you challenge and change your mindset, you can change your whole perception of yourself and your life….
