Reconnect With The Simple Things

Last week I was on a working holiday at the Sunshine Coast recording my “Healing Your Digestive Issues” video interview for MindBodyFood TV.

Although it rained for the majority of the time, we still found a small window of sunshine to walk in whilst wetting our feet down at the beach.

It was fortunate that the last night we were there, we could take the opportunity to walk along the beach, breathe in the salt air, cleans our nostrils and lungs with the freshness of nature and scrunch our toes in the sand as we walked, talked and took a moment for ourselves.

This short space of time was all we needed to reconnect to self, each other and nature. It helped to put things into perspective and create a clarity between what is most important in our lives and the trivial things that had taken focus.

Most of all, this beautiful moment in time and nature reminded me of the tremendous LOVE I have for myself and the person I used to be – the person who started this inner journey of self-love. This LOVE and ACCEPTANCE has given me a pathway forward to appreciating the person I have become, by finding gratitude in the lessons learnt, and striving to be the best person I can be, to me and for me.

Whatever is going on in your life at the moment: rainy days, sleepless nights, challenging times, opportunities awaiting… take a moment to reconnect to yourself, your partner and nature.

It’s these very simple yet powerful things that keep us going, growing and loving every day.
