Green Smoothies and Raw Chocolate

This last week I presented and spoke at the Annual ‘QLD Rural, Regional & Remote Women’s Network’ Ag Show Luncheon in Toowoomba.

Packing my mason jars, greens, and Omniblend I was prepared for an inspiring food demonstration educating the ladies on the benefits of blending your greens (check out my article and greens video here) for health, energy, reduced cravings and better sleep and concentration.

Sharing the stage with three other panellists from different backgrounds and expertise, we engaged in a discussion on, “Eating is an Agricultural Act” and discussed how we can start to improve our health by being aware of what’s in our food and where our food actually comes from.

What do you think?

  • Do we need to take more personal responsibility?
  • Do we need to start questioning what’s in our food more?
  • Investigating labels?
  • Shopping at Farmers Markets?
  • Talking and dealing directly with local farmers where possible?

Education and awareness starts with a personal reason behind why you want to increase your health, wellness, lifestyle, weight and happiness.

What does wellness mean to you, and are you making healthy choices every day that align with that meaning?

My hope is by opening up more conversations, sharing information and taking personal responsibility for what we put into and on our bodies, attending more community markets, talking with farmers, going to workshops, learning about real food and the dangers of processed and packaged foods, that we can all start to shift our consciousness towards a more healthy and sustainable future for ourselves and our families by using real food as medicine.

It was a great day meeting and educating so many women who want to improve theirs and their families health and happiness through food.

I love getting out in front of a keen group of people to share my love and knowledge in empowering their choices for greater health and wellness that we each deserve.
