Do you measure your worth by your weight?

Worth Your Weight

Bathroom scales. Do you have one?

We don’t have a bathroom scale in our house. I’ve not weighed myself in years. I don’t look to one for punishment, judgement or expectation ANY MORE.

I once relied on the bathroom scales for my self-worth. I looked to it for my daily allowance of food. I feared its’ judgement but I was compelled to step on it and wait anxiously for my result. My whole mindset and mood was determined by that number.

The thing now is that I no longer measure my self-worth by a number on the scale. I understand the changing fluctuations of my female body. I have meaning and purpose, passion and soul, and none of it has anything to do with a number on a scale.

I source my power from knowing who I am, cultivating my own inner happiness and confidently stepping up and into my life. I am responsible for my health and happiness. I have no-one to blame or rely on but myself.

I am me. I am energy. I am strength. I am love.

With this knowledge I have gained so much more than a set of inadequate bathroom scales can show me. It has no meaning or power over me any more. I have no use for it in my house or my life.

YOU are SO MUCH MORE than a number.

I AM

Remember you are unique. Do you think that all those skinny girls are happy, healthy, like themselves, feel good, have it all together and don’t have any problems of their own?

You being a certain way on the outside will not change how you feel on the inside if deep down you really don’t believe in yourself, have healthy self-esteem and know how to be and feel happy without comparing yourself to others.

Please don’t mistake “skinny” for happiness, health or confidence. Those things don’t come from a number on the scales or the size of your jeans. They come from knowing who you are, your strengths, your passions and your purpose in life.

That’s where to place your focus and develop meaning, purpose and passion within you.

How much power do you give your bathroom scale?

Liberate your mind and body and elevate your spirit and vibration. Take a few minutes right this very moment to breathe purposefully, calm your thinking, relax your body and ask your inner spirit to guide you.

Think about the experiences, accomplishments, challenges and proud moments where you shone brightly. What did you learn about yourself? What kind of person must you have been to do that, make it through, deal with it?

Define who you are and confidently answer the question, Who am I?
