Break Free of Fearing Food

Break FREE of Fearing Food

Going out to eat used to always be an anxiety-inducing routine of worrying what I’d wear to hide my body, who would be there scrutinising my body, and what food was on the menu that would put fat on my body.

I’d study the menu prior to arriving so it would reduce the panic time in front of my friends, delaying everyone’s orders.

The extra eyes on me only fuelled my anxiety and generally resulted in me ordering something I didn’t really want so that I’d spend the entire time waiting for the dish, worrying about if I made the right decision or not.

Once the food was served, I’d switch to worrying over if I could keep the food in my jelly belly or whether I “had to” throw it up out of fear of where the calories would go.

The whole experience was stressful and tense.

Perhaps you know this scenario very well.
Perhaps this is still your experience of food and eating.

By focusing on dieting, you’re deciding that the way you look, the size of your clothes, the beautiful imperfections that are uniquely individual to you, all need improving before you can allow yourself to TRULY live.

These days I don’t worry about any of that

  • I love myself and my body,
  • care little of what others might be thinking about my weight or food choices,
  • and keep it simple by just eating real food.

Life is calmer, social occasions are relaxing and eating food is pleasurable!
